At the Sign of the Golden Hooks

Once upon a time in Arcadia, ladies and gentlemen setting out on the first day of autumn to replenish their fishing tackle supplies and enquire about which stretches of the River Thames looked promising for perch could stop at the Sign of the Golden Hooks on St. James and enter the shop known as Ogden Smiths, who began trading in 1763.  Sadly, in the year 2011 the Golden Hooks have long been taken down and Ogden Smith's are no more but you can visit me at my stall on Thursdays in Spitalfields Market where I hear reports of how the Thames is fishing every week and may even be able to replenish your stock of fishing tackle.
