Spitalfields Market

Once upon a time in Arcadia, and not just upon a Thursday, ladies and gentlemen in search of fruit, vegetables and Blackie the Cat would drink a proper cup of tea and exchange their market tokens under the great iron and glass roof of Spitalfields Market as seen in this photograph which appeared courtesy of The Bishopsgate Institute on a recent post from the magnificent Gentle Author's Spitalfields Life.

Today, you may search for cats and exchange your market tokens under the same roof and especially on a Thursday when the Old Spitalfields Antiques Market piles it high as it has done for the last eight years.  At my stall I sell Vintage Fishing Tackle for the Soul between the hours of 08:00hrs and 15:30hrs.
