Ogden Smiths of Piccadilly & Elsewhere

Once upon a time in Arcadia, and usually on a Thursday, ladies and gentlemen abroad on the streets of London in search of Fishing Tackle could call in at any one of the number of Ogden Smiths branches that were dotted around the capital.  Those not desirous of leaving the comfort of their own homes could even order a catalogue which if despatched early enough in the day might arrive by second post.

Today in this the Year of Our Lord and Other Westerlies Laden With Rain 2013, ladies and gentlemen abroad on the streets of London without the need to stay in for the second post and in search of Fishing Tackle are invited to summon up the spirit of Ogden Smiths by visiting my stall in Spitalfields Antiques Market which is open on Thursdays only between the daylight hours of 8am and 3pm and from which I do solemnly sell Vintage Fishing Tackle for the Soul.  Spitalfields has a vast iron and glass roof from which you may shelter from the rain, a fish and chip shop nearby as well as a constant supply of hot running tea.
