The National Vintage Fishing Tackle Fair - November 2017

Across kitchens in Arcadia, Elgar is on the radio, chipped coronation mugs of Victory Gin are raised and teapots are drained trawlerman style in humble thanks to all of the staff at The Kingsley Sports Centre who helped us stage another enjoyable riot of a tackle fair on Sunday last.  The Kingsley has been a great home for us, made firmly so by the friendliness of all employed there but sadly it closes in October.  I am currently in the process of organising a new venue, confirmation of which along with the date of the fair will hopefully be announced here in the coming weeks.  Should you wish to join the Fair's blind e-mail list to receive further information and regular updates please contact me via the field telephone number on the flyer below.  Thank-you.

First read aloud at a night at The Horse Hospital you may now read my Brief History of Caught by the River in print within the pages of the new edition of Cally Callomon's Eastfolk Chronicle which is printed, published and available for a song from street corner urchins across the counties known as the Easterlies.  I also have copies about my person so if you see me at the back of a dusty auction house or labouring to finish my cake in a tea room please ask for a copy.

From the Lost Tackle Shop on Holy Street

For the attention of ladies, gentlemen and all passers-by I am pleased to announce that I have listed for immediate sale in the winter gardens known as my website at nominal prices to those with a custodial spirit a number of items-cum-relics from a lost tackle shop that I had the privilege of clearing recently.  I will also have a number of other items mundane but spectacular from the clearance upon my stall at this Sunday's tackle fair in the town of Romsey.  I gained access to the shop via a grand favour which shall not be forgotten and unlocked the front door that had been sealed for twenty years in the good company of my collaborator the photographer Nick Fallowfield-Cooper.  The photographs he took that morning and the short prayer that I wrote in homage to the shop appear on the cover and within the new issue of Fallon's Angler which is out on Friday 31st March.  I will have copies of the magazine for sale on Sunday.  You may also buy some in their shop. Thank-you.
